Clothing, Food and Hygiene Product Drive for BACS Hayward
As most people dropping in at BACS are homeless, they have no access to a kitchen, they need things that they can easily microwave at BACS or eat cold-
Food pantry items
Any kind of canned meat- tuna, chicken, Vienna sausages.
Individual packaged cereals, oatmeal.
Soup is good, cup of noodles- anything that can be microwaved. The Dollar store is a great resource for tuna and crackers, ramen and individual cereal packets.
Clothing
Most who attend are men and the most sought items are socks.
Socks, underwear, t-shirts, gentle used clothing. Size M or L
They will accept gently used clothing. If the Hayward BACS cannot use it, they will give it to Fremont or Oakland BACS
Hygiene Items
This is the most requested items- they are given out almost as soon as kits are made. Toothbrushes, small sized toothpaste, dental floss, soap, shampoo
